No communication ports avaliable

Hi,

I am new in the managment of the SIWI modems, my problem is this:

I am working (trying to program) with a GL6100, Actually I am proving for myself my first hello-world aplication, but when I try to connect to the modem I can’t do it, when I open the target managment there is not devises avaliable, even if I click on the refresh button, there is only a message that says “No communication ports avaliable”.

I am using the Developer Studio 3.2. (on ubuntu-linux) and I am not sure if is because of that version, maybe a have to use de 2.3.2 release?. It is like the computer does not find my devise conected, however I can connect to my modem if I use the minicom in the console.

But, Where Can I find the Developer studio 2.2.1 ? I can’t get in touch with my distribuitor :frowning: and I don’t find it in the web page.

Can you check with Dev Studio version 2.3.2. It seems this version supports GL6100. Below link will help you to install Dev Studio 2.3.2. Also can you try the same in Windows machine?

As mentioned in the Getting Started (developer.sierrawireless.com/developerstudio), on Linux your user needs to belong to dialout group in order to get permissions to open serial ports.
