On a RV55 I cannot connect to the Ace Manager UI at 192.168.13.31:9191 or 192.168.13.31:9443. Also unable to connect via USB at 192.168.14.31:9191 or 192.168.14.31:9443. The modem does respond to pings at both IP addresses 192.168.13.31 and 192.168.14.31. I can also access the modem via recovery mode, so I used that to update the ALEOS firmware to 4.18. The modem has also been factory reset with no change in connectivity. The Ace Manager UI still cannot be accessed. IS there anything else that can be done to gain access to the Ace Manager webpage?
Hi @steven.gee,
Welcome to our community!
Could you please answer the questions below to check the issue?
-
When accessing the RV55 via USB, do you see any interface appearing like the one in the attached image?
-
Please share a screenshot of the Network Adapters and Ports sections under Device Manager with me.
-
If it shows an IP address like the one in my screenshot, then when you access https://192.168.14.31:9443/, what screen appears? Please share a screenshot with me.
Thanks,
I left the RV55 plugged into by laptop overnight and when I came back in this morning, I tried to access the Ace Manager UI and it came up surprisingly. So I’m not sure what the issue is, but it seemed to somehow work after being connected after I long time.
I have another modem as well that has the same problem but it’s a RV50X. See the attached screen caps below. i might come up after waiting a while, but that’s not normal considering that soon after the modem is plugged in I can ping both the USB IP address and the Ethernet IP address.
I appears that waiting several minutes will allow the modem Ace Manager UI to become active so that web page will come up. I’m not sure why it takes longer than normal.
Hi @steven.gee,
Based on your comment, I found that you mentioned the modem Ace Manager UI appears on the web page after several minutes of waiting.
So, could you please clarify how many minutes ‘several minutes’ refers to? How many minutes is normal for you?
Does the issue still happen after rebooting the device by ‘reboot’ button on Ace Manager UI?
Thanks,
I would say it is actually longer than normal. It takes at least 4 minutes from the time the modem is rebooted until the web UI comes back. I know for a fact that I can ping the modem on both the USB and Ethernet interfaces and it responds , but the Ace Manager Web UI will not come up for several minutes afterwards. This is after a soft reset via the “Reboot” button in the UI. I usually don’t use the front button to reset the modem. This same problem is exhibited on the RV50X that the radio will not activate on.
Hi @steven.gee,
I tested with RV55 on my PC and found that after pressing the “Restart” button on the ACEmanager Web UI, the Web UI shows up after about 1’30s.
To narrow down the problem related to the network, please try connecting your RV55 to another pc to check if the problem still occurs.
Thanks,
