RV50X Data Connection Failure following APN change

We are using RV50X running ALEOS 4.12 on the Verizon network in a remote data collection application. This particular gateway has been working for months. We recently attempted to change the APN used by the gateway from the public APN to a private APN. The APN name was apparently changed by both the carrier and in the gateway itself. After the change the gateway could no longer establish a data connection with the carrier. We had the APN reverted to its original state (public APN) on both the carrier and on the gateway. The gateway is still unable to establish a data channel connection. The carrier insists that the gateway is “dropping” the data connection. We have captured logs from the gateway but are uncertain how to interpret the error codes found there.

Any suggestions on what those errors might mean and whether we need to change the gateway and/or the carrier configuration in order to get a data connection would be appreciated.

After analyzing your log, I see you manually entered APN “MW01.VZWSTATIC” and after entering this APN, there is no IP address (IPv4 address: 0.0.0.0). So, to analyze and evaluate this issue, can you help me answer the questions below:

  1. After analyzing your log, could you tell me what APN “MW01.VZWSTATIC” is the private APN or the public APN?
  2. To analyze and evaluate if the issue comes from SIM and APN, have you ever tried using this Verizon SIM and private APN on another device?
  3. To analyze and evaluate if the issue comes from SIM and APN, have you ever tried using another normal Verizon SIM on your RV50X?
  4. Please send me full log, template file and screenshot of ACEmanager (WAN/Cellular > Cellular > SIM Slot 1 Configuration/SIM Slot 2 Configuration).

Thanks for your response.

After checking your log, I see the user entering APN “WE01.VZWSTATIC” in template log and the user entering APN “MW01.VZWSTATIC” in the filteredlog. Please make sure two file log the same APN.

Please help me answer the questions I asked before to analyze and evaluate if the issue comes from SIM and APN.
