A friend gave me an RV50 North America and says he updated the firmware, but he can’t remember if the firmware he downloaded was for the RV50 or RV50X. The problem is that when the device is turned on, the power LED stays lit, but the others don’t. I’ve tried resetting it using the button and holding it for 20 seconds to enter rescue mode, but it hasn’t worked. Can anyone help me or offer any other suggestions, please?

To narrow down the issue, could you please try connecting RV50 to computer and let me know if you can access ACEmanager? If yes, please download FW of RV50 from the following link: source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_downloads/rv50/rv50-firmware-list/ and follow the instructions in section Update the ALEOS Software and Radio Module Firmware of the AirLink RV50X Software Configuration Guide ( source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_reference_docs/airlink-rv-series—configuration-guide/) to upgrade FW (pages 25-32).

Yes, I’ve read and tried everything possible. The RV50 doesn’t accept a connection through any port, and the power LED stays on. If I press the reset button for 20 seconds, the LED turns red, but as soon as I release it, it turns green. I have the device connected to a 12.3V DC regulated power supply.

When accessing the RV50 via USB, do you see any interface appearing like the one in the attached image?

Please share a screenshot of the Network Adapters and Ports sections under Device Manager with me.

If it shows an IP address like the one in my screenshot, then when you access https://192.168.14.31:9443/, what screen appears? Please share a screenshot with me.
