RV50 unable to connect or ping ignition gateway.

I’m using a RV50 as an sms dialler for my ignition SCADA system but am unable to get the 2 to talk to each other. I have used the 2 setup guides given by Ignition. When this has not worked, I followed one of the posts in here that suggested to use the ethernet as a WAN. I can now ping the device as well as the ignition server via my laptop and see that it is passing through the correct gateway on our networks here but ignition will still not communicate and I am unable to ping ignition via the RV50. Now that it is in WAN mode I cannot connect via the ACEmanager either.

RV50 is on a 172 IP via a 172 IP gateway and the ignition server is on a 192 IP.

We have many MODBUS devices that are on the same network and communicate fine.

Any ideas on what to look at next?

  • Could you please share the network diagram with me? The network diagram should show connections between devices and servers as well as the corresponding IP addresses.
  • Additionally, please share log file and template file from RV50 with me.
