Rather than rudely interrupt the power to the device, is it worth submitting an AT+CPOF immediately before powering down? If so, how long do I need to wait between issuing +CPOF and dropping power?
With a 'scope I can see that the SIM is powered down (roughly 1 second) after issuing the command; I guess that indicates the kind of delay needed…
“Power-down” is actually the hardware reset as opposed to cutting off the supply.
