How to fully power off module

Is there any way to fully power off the MC/EM modules (MC7455, EM7565), e.g. so that the device is no longer exposed in the PC until the power cycles to OFF and ON again?

The AT reference has some commands that seem related, but none do a full power off like that:

  • AT!POWERDOWN: The module ends up doing a reset and is back reporting CFUN=7. Also, the reference says “This command should only be used when testing using an appropriate testing jig—do not use it when the modem is installed in a computer.”
  • AT+CFUN=0: The module gets into low power mode without RF or SIM access.

Do you meam you want to make it disappear in device manager?

Or you just want to save power?

I saw in the product technical specification, there is power off sequence, did you check that?

Yes. Fully power off, until next off->on (increasing) voltage ramp.

Could you point me to the exact PDF? Seems I’ve missed that.

you can download here and see Section 5:

The shutdown sequence for the MC7455 in the spec says to use AT!PCOFFEN, but it doesn’t seem to be working?
