Hi. I have just unpacked my MP70 and connected it to Airvantage to do a firmware upgrade from version 4.11.x.xx to 4.13.0.017. Nothing else done, but now when I select the unit and go to Configuration, the Wireless settings are not located anywhere.
I have seen this earlier on several units, but thought that it was caused when updating from a unit with an old template, but this time I did not do anything else than updating.
This is a big problem when updating firmware on several units and you need to check them all afterwards for missing settings. Am I doing anything the wrong way?
Hi,
Were the wifi settings available on the old version 4.11.x.xx. I don’t know if your MP70 has WIFI feature. Because WIFI feature is optional. It’s not an out of the box feature.
Yes, Wifi was enabled on previous firmware.
Hi @thp,
Does the problem still exist? I have tried on our MP70 with same upgrade path. Please see screenshots below:
Wifi setting tab appears on FW 4.11.0.021 which is downloaded from AVMS
Wifi setting tab is still there after upgrading to 4.13.0.0.17 which is downloaded at link. I used Global FW for this case
Edit:
Add more case upgrade from AirVantage as screenshot. Wifi setting doesn’t disappear
Please tell if the problem still exist and share which FWs you used then I can try it. Also you can share the information of your system on AVMS then I can take a look it
Thanks
Hi seeing the same issue with some of our MP70 fleet losing their WIFI settings when updating to 4.13. Have you had any luck identifying a fix? Darrin
Hi.
Not really.
I installed the setting template again and it is working most of the times. If not, I do a firmware update again with the same version as already installed.
I have managed to get them all up on newest firmware with all settings enabled, but I have to check them all after the update to see if settings are missing. I have more than 100 devices, so it is quite a time-killer.
Hi Thomas, yep, same issue here. Some are fine and others we have to reload the WIFI details. I’m contacting our Australian agent to follow up. Cheers Darrin
