LAN internal routing on GX450 with ALEOS 4.8.1

#1

I have a GX450 ALEOS or 4.8.1 with an additional router on the LAN side for access to an additional subnet 192.168.51.0/24.

My LAN port is a static configuration of 192.168.58.133/24

I added under the LAN tab “Host Port Routing” as per manual and rebooted.

Host Network 2 192.168.51.0
Host Network subnet Mask 2 255.255.255.0
Host network 2 route Gateway
Host Network 2 Gateway 192.168.58.254

The 192.168.58.254 is the additional router’s port address on the same subnet of the GX450 LAN port subnet 192.168.58.0/24. It has another port for the 192.168.51.0/24.

I can ping 192.168.51.4 from the Subnet 192.168.58.0/24 from a PC, but from GX450 I cannot so I cannot connect to the GX450 from the 192.168.51.0/24 subnet. The GX450 is not sending the packet out the LAN port when I try and ping from the GX450

Is there any else that needs to be done for LAN side routing from the GX450 for subnet outside of it’s local subnet?

FYI, After upgrading to ALEOS 4.9.3 this problem started working without any changes. I do not know if it was fixed on a version between 4.8.1 to 4.9.3 since I upgraded from 4.8.1 to 4.9.3.
