I am having an issue getting SMSs out from my RV50x. SMSs are going from the RV50X via SSH but not via Ignition. I had it working a month ago but over the last 2 weeks the messages are not being sent out. The setup is simple, I have Ignition sending out an SMS as an alarm notification and the messages passes through the firewall and core switches with no issues but once it reaches the Airlink, it does not go out.
I believe that I must be missing something with the configuration and may need some assistance getting working again.
Update:
Enabling logging in Ignition and in the RV50X showed that the message is being sent from Ignition to the RV50X with no issues. However, the RV50X is attempting to send the SMS but is returning the failure code = 4294967295, which is the equivalent of ‘-1’. The sim card is activated for data and SMSs, in addition, inbound SMSs are reaching the RV50X with no issues.
Could you please answer the questions below to narrow down issue:
1. Please send me the topology diagram when you establish communication between your RV50X and the Ignition software installed on your server to investigate this issue.
2. To investigate this issue, please get the log and template log by the instructions and send me:
- The configuration template file is in ACEmanager → Template, provide any name you desire for the Template Name, and then press Download to retrieve the template file.
- Collect logs procedure:
a. Go AceManager > Admin > Configure Logging
Set all log levels to DEFAULT (NOTICE)
Set Linux Syslog to DISPLAY
b. Reboot the gateway.
c. Perform your test again.
d. Go Admin → View log → Download Logs.
3. Additionally, you can use IP Logging to check the issue. Could you please capture the PCAP by following the steps below:
Start capture PCAP
Run a ping test
Stop capture PCAP
