I have a WP7610 on a MangOH Red. I need some help activating it on Verizon’s service. When I enter the IMEI on Verizon’s website it says: “The phone associated with the Device ID you entered is not compatible with the Verizon Wireless network.” I selected the WP7610 because it was supported by Verizon in North America. How do I get my module activated? I also have a new Verizon SIM card.
Thank you for the help,
Jno
Hi jno.wally
You need a USB interface and special software tools that you need to get from the distributor or FAE to activate it.
First, verify that you are using the appropriate Verizon firmware

Second, Please contact your distributor or FAE to get the tools you need for the operating system you are using.
Hi Donald,
Thank you for the suggestions. I originally had trouble activating the module when entering the IMEI on Verizon’s site. However, I was able to activate it by entering the SIM card info into Verizon’s automated phone service.
I have also loaded Verizon-specific firmware.
Thank you.
John
Thank you Mr. @Donald
I was recently facing the same issue and your information helped me to resolve it. I didn’t need to contact the distributor.
Keep sharing your knowledge.

Hi John,
I am facing the same problem.
- What is Verizon’s automated phone service number and how to dial that from outside USA?
- which options to choose to enter the sim card info.
Thanks in advance for your help.
