FXT009 with Fxte02 Ethernet Expansion

Hi,

  1. I mounted the ethernet card fxte02 in modem fxt009.
    I found the commands to start the ethernet and to take the IP address in the DHCP.

When I turn off the fxt009 and the turn on, the ethernet is off. So I have to repeat the AT commands

I don’t know in which way I can save the configuration.
When I turn on the Fxt009 , I need that it will activate the ethernet and get the ip address in automatic.

Can Someone help me?

  1. I need to use a Com port emulator with Fxt009+Fxte02.
    DO you know if there is a Sierra official Com port emulator for the FXt009?
    I tried some Com port simulator, but I can’t find the correct socket to connect to the modem.
    Which is the port to use?

I saw there are 16 socket available by default.

The application I use just try to connect on a local com.
With Serial and USB is possible, but I don’t in which way use the Modem with the Ip address activated without a Com port emulator.

Any Idea?

Hi Massimiliano,

For 1, are you using the gateway sample? What is the software version running?
If I remember correctly, the gateway sample connect automatically.

For 2, are you trying to send AT cmd over TCP/IP (Ethernet)?
If so, you may implement it using OAT.

I may have the same problem.
@mlucarelli, Could you explain which commands when you said :

My FXT009 came with FXTE02 embedded. But i can’t manage to get any IP adress, the LED don’t get ON or blinked.
I’m noob with that modem, but when i tried the command to enable ETH, i get “ERROR” back.

AT+ETH=1
ERROR

It seems that the FXT02 isn’t enabled or activated, and i don’t find howto.
