About the new developer website

wavecom.com/modules/movie/sc … =6769#6769

Thank you very much for this information.
I’m looking forward to the launch of this new website.

Now we have a date: wavecom.com/modules/movie/sc … php?t=1871

The site is up at last. Yay.
Some problems with the Downloads section though, but I guess those will be fixed soon enough.
Right now I have noticed two problems;

  1. Need to change the domain part of the URL
  2. Large files (like the SDKs) gives some PHP error because they’re too large

Content wise, I’m going to wait before commenting upon, as I guess the download sections are still being populated.

Should have had time by now…

Where are the firmware downloads?

I’ve found the DWLWin download, but can’t see where to get any firmware to use with it! :frowning:

I can’t see the DWLWin download on any of the modules I’ve checked in the downloads section…

As xmas is closing in, it doesn’t matter that much to me right now, but in january it would be nice if more downloads are available.

Ah - so at least I’m ahead there, then! 8)

I’m finding it from the Products page, wavecom.com/modules/movie/scenes/products/

then choose a member of the ‘Wireless CPU Family’ in the left-hand (green) column; eg, ‘New Q24 Series’, wavecom.com/modules/movie/sc … Q24_Series

then go to the ‘Downloads’ tab, wavecom.com/modules/movie/sc … Q24_Series

and it’s under ‘Tools’

In particular, where is the support for older products

eg, see: viewtopic.php?t=1906

Still nothing there for me…

Are you saying that you’re looking at different products from me, and they don’t have it?

Or are you saying that you can’t see what I can see?

I have checked the Downloads section for Q2686 and New Q24 Series.
For New Q24 Series, I can see things like the 3.17 SDK download, but in the Tools section there is only an empty DWL WIN (GSM) and some other empty folders.
For Q2686, the Tools section is populated with the same folders but here the Development toolkit folder have two zip’s that I can download. DWL WIN folder is again empty.

I don’t know why I can’t see it (tried in both Firefox and IE7) and I’m certainly not happy about it.

The only thing that might be different for our accounts is that I have not marked that I’m a certified developer (because I haven’t attended the course, and from what I’ve read about it online, I’m not sure if there’s much I could learn from taking it). Have you attended this course, and marked that you’re certified?

If Wavecom requires anything more than registering (upgrade from old forum), they are certainly keeping it hidden.

No - and for much the same reason as you!

I have a few older Fastrack modems I need firmware, instructions, etc. Seems this update site doesn’t have the info I’m looking for. I’m actually really sad on this one as my development notebook was stolen - I had all the downloads I needed on their. NO BACKUP as I though the main wavecom.com site would always be there for me.

The intention was certainly to port all existing articles from the old site to the new site and not loose anything. There were more than 2,000 so I’m sure some may have “escaped” during that huge move so if you know of some, email the webmaster@wavecom.com. However, I can see many SDK for the M1306 under the archives for that device and perhaps what you need is there?

Go to the Product map: http://www.wavecom.com/modules/movie/scenes/products/

Click on “Obsolete products” at the bottom right of the page. (Is this hard to find? Perhaps it should be on these device home pages for Plug & Play + Quik?)
http://www.wavecom.com/modules/movie/scenes/products/index.php?fuseAction=article&rubric=products&article=products_quikSeries
http://www.wavecom.com/modules/movie/scenes/products/index.php?fuseAction=article&rubric=products&article=products_plugAndPlaySeries

Click M1306 (I can see the last version of the M1306 user guide is missing so will get that corrected).

Click Archives (top right of this page).

Expand “Open AT software Suite / Software Development Kit”

Does it help?

No. There is nothing else to do. Certified Developer is purely a flag to indicate that status in the forum and is not related to any permissions for access.

I just checked again… Still no DWLWin available for download…
When can we expect DWLWin to show up?
Or the documentation for Q26 Ultra?
New firmware for Q2686? (Still waiting for fixes to serious issues that we have reported and got ticket number for)

A better question is maybe, what things SHOULD be available for download already, and if for example DWLWin already SHOULD be there, why can I not access it?

So… Almost two months since the new developer website “opened”… Much was promised, but at least I am still waiting for content to show up…

    • Latest hardware specifications and design guidelines
Where’s the documents for Q26 Ultra?
    • Latest Open AT Software Suite (formerly known as the Open AT SDK)
Replace Latest with Outdated for at least Q26 (latest I can see is 4.22a) and it fits better, considering several issues have been known about for months…
    • Application Notes, some with source code for larger apps
Mostly old documents of little value if you work on newer modules…
And shouldn’t information about parameter values like those used together with AT+ECHO=… on 6.6x be there, as they’re not described in the AT manual?

There still seem to be problems that some users can see some things that others can’t:

Where have the FAQs gone?

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2026&p=7563#p7563

There is a FAQs tab at the left on wavecom.com/modules/movie/scenes/developers/
At least there is for me… That particular exception I can’t see in it though.
