Title: WP7702 Not Detected on Windows 11 (Dell Laptop) - Driver Compatibility Issue
Hi team,
I’m trying to connect a Sierra Wireless WP7702 module to my Windows 11 (Dell laptop) using USB. I’ve downloaded and installed the latest USB drivers from the Sierra Wireless website (build 4836, 5807 , but the device is still not being detected.
System Details:
- OS: Windows 11 Enterprise (up to date)
- Laptop: Dell Inspiron / Latitude (model: [Latitude 7420])
- Module: WP7702
- Connection: Via USB (using mangOH or dev board)
What I Tried:
- Installed the official Sierra Wireless USB drivers (build 4836, 5807)
- Rebooted the system after installation
- Tried multiple USB ports and different cables (confirmed data+power)
- Powered the WP7702 module externally[date=2025-04-10 timezone=“Asia/Calcutta”]
- Checked Device Manager (shows either “Unknown device” or nothing at all when connected)
- Tried the same setup on Linux — still getting USB enumeration errors (
error -71
)
Request:
- Is there a Windows 11-compatible version of the Sierra Wireless USB drivers?
- Any guidance on getting the WP7702 recognized on Windows 11?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Srini
