I have a remote station that sends data to our website and is using the RV50 modem. The site quit sending data a few months ago and it’s been brought to my attention that it may be the firmware that needs to be upgraded. I upgraded the firmware to the most current version but it still won’t work.
Can someone help me with this process? I live in Colorado. I upgraded to the most recent firmware. I uploaded a template for my modem. I tried to upgrade the radio module but it give me an error.
I’d appreciate any suggestions.
Hi @william.horan,
Welcome to our community!
Could you please take a look at the below question/concern and share your answers?
- What ALEOS version has your RV50 been upgraded to?
- Did you use the Radio module firmware from the source page? Link firmware: https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_downloads/rv50/rv50-firmware-list/#sthash.HIbumNNN.dpbs
- Did you follow the firmware upgrade instructions in the user guide correctly? Please refer to section “Update the ALEOS Software and Radio Module Firmware” on pages 28-31 of the following document: https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_reference_docs/airlink-rv-series---configuration-guide/#sthash.zUqgkXYg.dpbs
- When the Radio module firmware upgrade failed, what error did it show? Please provide me with information about that error.
Thanks,
