SL8084T USB problem (Windows)

Hi, all

Upon connecting modem to Windows 7 PC, I can see 4 additional COM ports appear, but they all have warning signs next to them. Windows says “This device cannot start. (Code 10)”.
Any idea how to fix this?
Restartign of module and PC does not help.

Thanks,
Rudolf

Hi,

I guess it is driver issue, are you using updated USB driver comes with Watcher or standalone one?

Worth to try first uninstall those interface showing cannot start then install this one and try again.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

Thanks for the link.
Installed new drivers, but problem is still there :frowning:

Rudolf

Sorry to hear that…
Was it failed only on single PC or multiple?

Are you able to check the PID assigned on the USB interface and is it possible to test using Linux?

Thanks.

OK, tried on different machine and driver installed correctly.

Just one more question – does dev studio works with SL8084T over USB?
I can not get it into dev mode on USB.

Rudolf

I think I found the problem.

Looks like it is compatibility issue between SL8084T and Etron USB3 controller on my m/b.
Once I switched to a USB2 port, all started to work OK.

As for development mode – looks like device will not support dev mode on two post at same time. I had dev mode on UART port. AT+WDM=0 and restart fixed the problem.
