I tested your case on my HL7802 module with Firmware Release 4.6.9.4 and I didn’t observe the your issue. Please refer to the test log I attached below:

With firmware 4.6.8.0, when typing ATE1 does the result return “OK”?
If yes, please save the configuration using AT&W command and then upgrade to firmware 4.6.9.4.
Then try again. Do the issue still happen in this case?
