RV50X VPN To Watchguard Firewall

I am wanting to create a VPN tunnel between RV50X and Watchguard Firewall. I want this to be an always on connection so in Watchguard language this is a BRANCH OFFICE vpn.

I have made a few attempts to do this but not successfully yet. I am not even sure this is possible.

Has anyone done this before or know where some instructions to do this are?

Thanks

Hi derrell.gore,

What kind of VPN do you want to set up on the RV50x?
Could you please help draw a simple topology of your case, configuration template, and log file on RV50x to figure it out?

Please refer to pages 149 to 176 in 41113781_ALEOS 4.14.0 Software Configuration User Guide for AirLink RV50_r2 for some VPN configuration instructions.

You can get it here https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_reference_docs/airlink-rv-series---configuration-guide/#sthash.SQgPizXW.dpbs

I have a Watchguard at my office. I have a Sierra RV50x at a remote site. So want to create a BOVPN between the two. Not sure how else to say that.

Sierra outside address is 107.85.97.246. Watchguard ouside address is 216.238.1.177
The sierra has a local subnet of 192.168.13.0/24. The Watchguard has a local subnet of 172.16.7.254/24
So I need a gateway between 107.85.97.246 and 216.238.1.177

I need a tunnel between 192.168.13.0/24 and 172.16.7.0/24.
Trying to accomplish this using VPN setting on the sierra.

Hi derrell.gore,

You can use IPSec VPN to set up a tunnel between 192.168.13.0/24 and 172.16.7.0/24.
You need to have an IPSec VPN server.

Please refer to pages 149 to 169 in 41113781_ALEOS 4.14.0 Software Configuration User Guide for AirLink RV50_r2 for IPSec VPN configuration instructions.

That is kinda broad term…but I think a Watchguard Firewall with BOVPN IPSEC capabilities would qualify as a IPSEC VPN SERVER.

Hi derrell.gore,

Please refer to Manual BOVPN Configuration Examples

Hope it can help.
