RV50 Port Forwarding Not working

Hello,
We have an RV 50 that we recently put into use and the Port forwarding function will not work.

Currently I have a VPN connected to the device, And from the VPN it can access all of the local IP’s. However for external access I use Port Forwarding to get in when not attached to the VPN.

This is a typical setup that we use many places and for some reason on this location it will not work.

We were using Version 4.9 but just upgraded to V4.16. Still no luck, Has anyone seen anything like this or maybe have any ideas on what to try?

Thank you,

I assume you are forwarding an internet facing port to a machine attached via ethernet. Could you upload and attach the template for the device without device specific information and/or passwords? Would you mind uploading all logs and attaching as well?

I would start digging into the logs. I typically turn everything to not display and only turn on the things I am interested in.

it wont let me load a file with the Config.

Here is the base file of the Port Forwarding, Any other specific parts you would want to see?

At the top (outside of the main management interface), there is the Templates button. Can you load the template from the device and attach it here?

I am sorry, but I was just heading out for the weekend. I am sure some actual Semtech folks will chime in shortly.

Hi @Jordan.Cherry,

Welcome to our community!
Could you please update your RV50 to the latest version, which is 4.18, and then check whether the issue still occurs?

If the issue still occurs, please get the log and template log by the instructions and send me:

1.The configuration template file is in ACEmanager → Template, provide any name you desire for the Template Name, and then press Download to retrieve the template file.

2.Collect logs procedure:

a. Go AceManager > Admin > Configure Logging

  • Set all log levels to DEFAULT (NOTICE)

  • Set Linux Syslog to DISPLAY

b. Reboot the gateway.

c. Perform your test again.

d. Go Admin → View log → Download Logs.

Thanks,
