I am trying to set up an AirLink GX440 as Radio/Ethernet bridge. Basically I would like the GX440 to pass the IP address assigned by the Telco to the inside host and be a transparent bridge.
I have requested from the Telco a private APN with a class C network with static IP addresses. I have a gateway residing at 10.0.0.1/24. The problem that I have been encountering is that when the Telco assigns 10.0.0.6/24 to the GX440 passes it to the inside host and the GX440 uses 10.0.0.1/24. As you can see that presents a few problems with routing. I have tried to set up my desired scenario both with DHCP and statically set address.
My ideal set up would be like this:
10.0.0.1/24 10.0.0.6/24 router -- ethernet -- GX440 )) Telco Wireless (( GX440 -- ethernet -- router
This would allow me to do all my own internal routing.
But what I’m getting is more like this:
10.0.0.1/24 10.0.0.1/24 10.0.0.6/24 router -- ethernet -- GX440 )) Telco Wireless (( GX440 -- ethernet -- router
Thanks in advanced for any help.
