With a GX450 and a RV50 also, I can access ALMS and ALMS can access the modem.
With a VPN UP to our Inside network, ALMS is not accessible.
The VPN routes everything to our internal network. (destination network 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0)
On the ethernet port, my desktop can go to 8.8.8.8 through the VPN
never, I can see logs coming from the VPN and the modem internal IP.
