NMAP scan see 8088

I have a RV50 and running a nmap scan sees tcp port 8088. The configs don’t see to explicitly identify this port but suspect it is related to ALMS
https://doc.airvantage.net/alms/reference/register/howtos/configureInfrastructureForPrivateAPN/
but another doc doesn’t state it but mention 8083
https://doc.airvantage.net/amm/appendix/firewall_considerations/

If I disable ALMS, will 8088 be disabled?

Hi @ahong,

Could you please let me know what your main purpose is?
ALMS provides a best-in-class, secure, cloud-based management system for Sierra Wireless AirLink devices. Why do you want to disable it?

Thanks,

For most of my sites, I do not want to disable. However there are a few sites that the device is own by us but register under a different company which Sierra support states has already expired in subscription. For this one off case, I want to disable but curious if it is related to 8088

Hi @ahong,

As per your initial comment, you provided two links, one for ALMS - AirLink Management Service and the other for AMM - Airlink Mobility Manager. These are two different device management systems.

If you see that your device is registered with another company and you have access to that company, you can remove the gateway if you no longer want to use it.

Thanks,
