Need VB code to read from serial port

Hi! I recently bought a Fastrack Supreme GSM Modem.

I already have School Management Application developed in VB6. I would like to include SMS module ( which should send Text Messages to numbers stored in Access database ) in my application.

I would like to know whether any components / SDK are available for download ( to use in VB6).

An answer or redirection towards useful documentation would be of great help.

Are you sure that a GSM modem is a good idea for this?
Wouldn’t it be better to do this via one of the many internet-to-SMS providers?

Try googling “bulk sms” or “sms aggregator” or “sms gateway” etc

Here’s one I’ve used: intellisoftware.co.uk/sms-gateway/

Skype can also do it.
