Any leads on whether we have a settings issue or a device issue? Thank you!

Hi @mpathare,

Welcome to our community!

Could you please take a look at the below question/concern and share your answers?

  1. Please make sure that you have connected the antennas to the MP70 device correctly. Two antennas are required when connecting to an LTE network.
  2. What firmware version of ALEOS and radio module is the MP70 device currently running?
  3. Is the MP70 still experiencing frequent reboots? From the log you provided, it appears that the network connection was successful.
  4. If the issue persists, please share the complete log file showing the frequent reboots of the MP70, along with the template file with me.

Thanks,

Hi @jerdung , thank you for your reply! Answering your questions in line:

  1. Can you clarify what ypou mean by two antennas are needed connecting to an LTE network?

  2. The MP70 is currently running ALEOS version 4.15.0 and firmware version SWI9X30C_02.32.11.00 r8042 CARMD-EV-FRMWR2 2019/05/15 21:52:20

  3. The MP70 has not rebooted in the last 23 hours, but the latest log suggests it did go into the Radio state disconnected state again. We are using this modem in application with a VPN firewall off shore and it frequently goes in and out of LTE connectivity when entering and leaving port. When it is not in LTE range it takes on satellite internet through a wired connection and is used primarily as a router to address 3-8 devices on its network.

  4. I am attaching the most recent log with this email.

Thank you for your help!

Hi @mpathare,

Please refer to the note about the antenna on page 92 of the following document: https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_reference_docs/airlink-mp-series---configuration-guide/#sthash.ZTAQpBuW.dpbs

Please update to the latest ALEOS version and recheck if the issue still occurs. Here is the link to the latest ALEOS firmware: https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_downloads/mp70/mp70-firmware-list/#sthash.QfrLvnz6.dpbs

Thanks,
