MC7710 SIM card hot-swap

Hi,

Does anyone know if this modem can detect a SIM insert/removal and set itself up without needing a power cycle?

I’m using AT!SIMNOTINSTALLED?, but it doesn’t seem to report when a SIM is inserted after the device has been powered up :frowning:

Hi,

Check for the command AT^SYSINFO ,it return service status information.

AT^SYSINFO
Response: , , , ,

(SIM status):
• 0=SIM is not available
• 1=SIM is available

I’ve tried that commnad, but if I insert the SIM after the module has powered up, it never reports the SIM as present.

I was hoping I could use that command or similar to check if the SIM has been inserted or removed during operation… do you know if that is possible?
