Hello I’m looking for help on changing the SSID on one of my new MG90’s. I unchecked the Auto SSID box and put my own name in the name box (truck #). After I save the change and it looks like it takes I back out and have been rebooting the unit. The name keeps staying on as the serial number. I have updated to the most recent firmware version also. Any ideas on what I can try? Thanks.
Hi,
Changing any config on MG90 should not cause any reboot. Have you checked the power supply and retried? Is your MG90 managed by AMM?
Matthew, I’m having the same thing on M90, just got MG90 back from Depot repair. Everything is good up to setting Wi-Fi. Can not change SSID name or uncheck Auto SSID box. If you found a work around “help” I’m running v 4.2.3-20190604.1. Do I need to upgrade to v 4.3.0.1?
Its been a while since I posted that I dont remember exactly what I did to fix the problem. I just looked and most of my units are running 4.3.0-20191205.2 so yes I would try updating and see if that fixes your issue. Sorry I couldn’t be more specfic on how I got mine to work.
Thank you much. have a great week end.
Well its been over 24 hrs and I still can not get SSID name to change. I did upgrade to 4.3.0, no joy. I have remote AMM disable as far I can tell.
Have you tried Sierra wireless support? They are usually good but not necessarily easiest as you have to do a bunch of back and forth. On another note I am managing mine through Amm. You did reboot OMG after update correct?
