Internet locks up on 2 modems but not my other 2

I got 4 GX440 modems. 2 I got from Bell(I believe) when they first came out and had issues with when trying to use LTE. And the other 2 I got recently from Rogers that work without a charm in LTE mode. So what happens is when I am in certain locations with the Bell units, usually when there are 2 towers close the modem still shows LTE but I have no internet. This does not happen with the new modems. I even loaded the latest firmware for rogers and put the rogers sims in and still no change. The only thing I see different is that the Radio firmware version is different in the newer modems(more current date firmware). The problem is the module identifier are different between the old ones and the new ones so it gives me a warning when trying to update the Radio FW. I am pretty sure this will resolve the issue but I am not sure if I will brick the unit. My question is can I load the firmware without bricking?

Working unit:
Aleos SW: 4.4.0 Build 011
Model:GX440
Radio Module Type: MC7700 Radio Module Identifier: GCA001
Radio Firmware: SWI9200X_03.05.20.05AP R5847 CARMD-EN-10527 2013/06/21 17:02:10

Not working unit:
Aleos SW: 4.4.0b Build 005 (Updated to see if it would fix it)
Model:GX440
Radio Module Type: MC7700 Radio Module Identifier: ATT002
Radio Firmware: SWI9200X_03.05.10.02AP R4684 CARMD-EN-10527 2012/02/25 17:02:10

Any direction would be great.

Hi,
This depends on what SKU the you have, there are 3 variants of the GX440 using the MC7700. Would not recommend upgrading to module until you know which GX440 model you are using. Some of the module updates are carrier specific and require certification from the carrier. it is better to update to the latest firmware 4.4.1 as new radio module updates for the units. you can work with your reseller or point of purchase to figure out with GX440 model you are using as 4.4.1 firmware release has 3 different radio module packages.

Thanks,
Alex
