How to run a DW5811e-module on a tablet?

ok, have found a dealer, who refunds retoure dispatch, so i could try this item almost without risk.

Where do i find FW-version on Win 10?
in device manager is nothing to find…

thank u!

edit:
in device manager i found for the recent module this:
USB\VID_413C&PID_81B6&REV_0006&MI_0c
USB\VID_413C&PID_81B6&MI_0c

if there is something like a FW-version, ic ould not identify!!

which module are you talking about?
EM73xx?
If nothing is found in device manager, the module might be dead…

at the moment is EM7455 DW5811e in the engine inserted.
this does not voice, sms & co.

For a possible next module (i could purchase without greater risk), I would need to find out, what FW version it has.

so, where do i find this version nr?

there are some entries, says EM7455 works fine, another entry says it could not start.

what do you mean “next module”?
EM73xx?
or EM74xx?

for getting the firmware version, you can open the AT command port with tera term and type
“ati3”

next module = EM7355.

next module means: i could purchase another one , if it does not fit my needs, i could return without costs!

But: i dont know, if it fits with FW-version 6.xxx
so i could try this, if it does, i keep it, if not, it goes back to dealer.
(dealer did not answered my FW-question positive)

Sorry!
could u explain this sentence:
AT command port with tera term and type
“ati3”
???

you can see here:

so, this needs a deeper study, that takes me some time.

by the way:
are there eventually other models with voice, sms & internet?
may be connected by USB (instead M.2)??

One question here is that even you can find one module that supports voice, did you check if your m.2 adaptor has the audio circuit outside which is connected to your headset?

If there is no audio circuit, what is the point of getting the module with voice function?

Or are you going to use USB audio only over the m.2 interface?

You can try the IOT module with voice function:

Here is the development kit for this module which is using USB communication:
https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airprime/development_kits/rc76xx-wp76xx-development-kit-guide/#sthash.PJeePDDL.dpbs

seems to be very complicated.
this seems to get a deeper study of all this special terms & items.

I’m afraid, i wouldnt have that time for.

nevertheless thank u very much
