HL780X Windows 7 drivers

Hi!

I’m trying to update my modem HL7802/HL7800 modems with the last firmware available on source.sierrawireless web site.

The problem that I’m dealing here is about the windows driver. When I connect the mangoh Red to the computer using a USB cable, the computer doesn’t identify the modem.

I’m connecting the USB cable into the CF3 and appears this device in my desktop:

Well, where I can download this windows driver? I didn’t found it on source.sierrawireless portal…

Hi rafael.dias,

Please install the USB Serial Converter driver.

You can get it here

Hi Donald,

If I connect the USB cable into the Console USB port, my PC loads the correct driver: FTDI VCOM port.

The up USB connector is connected directly to the modem USB port:

Or it is possible to use the console port to perform modem update?

Hi rafael.dias,

Yes, You can use the console port to perform modem updates.

I connected the usb cable into the “console” port and I have access to the Legato terminal.

Can I still use this port to perform firmware update?

I tried one using the firmware upgrade tool HL7800.4.6.8.0.exe . The firmware update started but at some point (I was not taking care about the process) occurred a exception and the firmware update tool restarted.

Now the console terminal is doing nothing…
