You need to get it from Matt or another Sierra engineer. So far, I haven’t been able to make it work.
Hi Matt,
Can you please clarify what you mean by “early version”?
I would like to know whether the definition of “early” includes SKU 1103520 which shipped with firmware version SWI9X50C_01.08.04.00 and specifically whether the CBRS bands on this unit can be enabled by firmware update alone or whether the special “one click updater” is required.
Thanks in advance.
So CBRS was authorised by FCC something like 2 or 3 years ago, from that point on we were producing units enabled with that band. There aren’t that many out there that had it disabled.
Regards
Matt
Thanks for the quick response, but I didn’t get the answer I needed.
The question is: “does the SKU 1103520 module support CBRS bands with nothing more than a firmware update from https://source.sierrawireless.com ?”
Regards and TIA,
Keith
No it does not have the CBRS bands enabled, not entirely sure why it is still in production state.

Matt
Hey Matt,
I’ve got the same “issue” with the EM7565 But i have the 1-click-tool to open the bands (Enable CBRS bands 42,43 and 48 exe file), but the modems are already assembled and cannot be accessed.
We’re using Linux (Ver. 4.14.98) - how can i upgrade the FW/ open the bands without disassembling the modems?
Thanks,
Guy.
If you use pkzip/izarc to open the one clikc updater you will see an NVU file, you can download this to the unit in the same way as firmware is downloaded.
Regards
Matt
Hi Matt, I face the same issue. Could you message me the updater please? Many thanks.
Hi Matt, I have a EM7565 adapter that is CBRS locked. Can you send me the one click tool as well?
I too am in need of the one-click updater to get Band48. @mlw
Hi @mlw please DM me the one click updater tool if you have it, this is the output of my adapter, as you can see B48 I s missing, I’m with the latest FW 1.14.13
I will DM you shortly but there weren’t many units that did not have the CBRS bands enabled and they would be several years old now as well.
Regards
Matt
awesone @mlw your tool fixed the adapter at the first attempt.
thank you very much for your help!!!
hey @mlw I’ve have another issue now.
I’m testing the adapter in a CBRS network, the DHCP server is in my local net and I receive and IP correctly from my DHCP to the adapter.
The problem is that IP and DNS servers are fine but subnet and gateway are wrong, I got a /30 subnet on the adapter instead of a /24 as it should be from the DHCP server. Also setting it manually doesn’t solve the problem.
This topic describes exactly my issue https://forum.sierrawireless.com/t/mc7355-is-changing-manually-set-ip-settings/19238/6
Any ideas? My CBRS supplier told me that I need to change the adapter from bridge/passthrought to NAT but I don’t even know if this is possible…
@mlw
Hi Matt,
Same issue here, can you please send me the updater? preferably for Linux
Thanks
