BC127 - SPP problem

Hello all,

Trying to use SPP on BC127-HD.
My goal is to have a SPP link between the BC127 and an android phone.

Melody version is 6.1.5 HD

Pairing with phone - all OK.
A2DP works great too.
SPP doesn’t :confused:

Sending command:
OPEN 887598A3BC45

replies with:
PENDING
OPEN_ERROR SPP

I read the “Melody Audio 7 user guide” published in SIERRA’s website, and still nothing seems to work.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Have you got the melody classic application running on your phone? You need to have something opening the SPP profile on the phone side.

Downloaded Melody classic.
Works like magic! :grinning:

Why doesn’t the BC-127 work with any other Bluetooth SPP terminal application?
(for example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.dzs.android.BLE_SPP_PRO)

What is special about Melody classic?

Nothing special, it should just be standard, I got it working with 'Bluetooth SPP manager"
