SMS/MMS with MC7354 and VERIZON SIM

i noticed that using VERIZON SIM card (with VERIZON firmware loaded on the card)…

i cannot seem to use AT+CMGF=0 (PDU format), instead of OK, i get ERROR

in text mode (CMGF=1), i can send/receive SMS , however, i am not sure how to receive MMS (WAP PUSH)…

when using MC7354 with TMOBILE (and appropriate firmware)… i can get MMS (WAP PUSH) in PDU (CMGF=0)

does anyone have any success with MC7354 and VERIZON SIM to receive MMS ??? (also, setting GPRS to retrieve the MMS image afterward) ???

Hi Thomas,

We do not test MMS, so officially it is not supported.
VZW encodes the SMS in 3GPP2 format not 3GPP like other carriers.
Maybe this is why AT+CMGF=0 is failing which I believe is a 3GPP command.
I could be wrong.
