SL6087 Problem with echo cancellation

Hello,

I try to switch echo cancellation on SL6087 and it doesn’t work with the latest batch of these modules. But it worked with previous batches. Have you any idea? Or firmware update?

Seems fw is different

Yes, I noticed that the FW is different. Any change to get the right FW verison for my SL6087?

You can check the ati3 of the working module

ati3 is the same for both SL6087 modules.

ati3<#0D>

ati3<#0D><#0D><#0A>
R7.52.0.201306260837.SL6087 673436 062613 08:37<#0D><#0A><#0D><#0A>

Can you check at+wcfm=2 in both module?

Not working:

  • at+wcfm=2
  • <#0D><#0A>
  • +WCFM: 0000,0<#0D><#0A><#0D><#0A>
  • OK<#0D><#0A>
  • at+wcfm=0,“0000”
  • <#0D><#0A>

  • OK<#0D><#0A>

    • at+wcfm=1,“0020”
  • <#0D><#0A>

  • +CME ERROR: 3<#0D><#0A>

  • at+wcfm=1,“0040”
  • <#0D><#0A>
  • +CME ERROR: 3<#0D><#0A>

Working:

  • at+wcfm=2
    <#0D><#0A>
  • +WCFM: 0166,0<#0D><#0A>
  • <#0D><#0A>
  • OK<#0D><#0A>

So there is difference on echo cancellation field

Thank you for identifiing the problem. How can I switch it on? The Manual “AT Command Interface Guide” says “This command is used only on request of Sierra Wireless”. Since this GSM module is very old and obsolete, can you please get me the password neede to enable this feature?

Probably you need to contact distributor directly.
