SL6087 firmware recovery

Hi everyone,
we designed and developed a board with SL6087 and XM0110 for a tracking application.
Trying to upgrade the firmware from 7.47 to 7.52 using Developer Studio 2.3.2 we encountered a problem that bricked the module: the result is that now neither windows nor linux can see the attached usb device. Unfortunately we lost the error message. we guess our only option now is to use JTAG to flash a firmware on the module but we can’t find any guide to do that. We have a openOCD JTAG for ARM platform correctly connected to the module as described in the Sierra WM_DEV_WUP_APN_001 Rev003.

Thanks in advance, any suggestion will be very apprecciated.

Hi,

Do you have UART interface to the hardware setup? You can use DWLWIN in that case…

Hi Rex_alex,
sorry for the late reply but we are having other issues.
Anyway we have the UART, we downloaded DwlWin but we don’t have the .wpk file to upload and we can’t find it in the Developer Zone. We read here that the only way to obtain the wpk file is to ask the distributor, can you confirm that? Or is there a quicker way?

Thank you

Hi…
I dont think the .wpk files are available in dev studio…

You have to contact your distributor only…

anyways, i’ll let you know if these files will be uploaded in future…
