Skylight logs / MC7304

Hi everyone,

I was hoping you can guys help me getting logs from the Skylight app, I’m after logs which could show history of the connection, would be great to see:

  • when connection was established
  • when connection was lost (if it could also say why was it that would be perfect)
  • signal strength

Spec:

  • Skylight app version 4814
  • Drivers version: 4836 ( yes, i know there are newer, 5087, but for some reason they doesn’t work with my hardware, getting “Modem not detected” every time I try it)
  • Firmware: 05.05.78.00

Please let me know if you need any other details, thank you in advance for all replies.

Do you see any log in %appdata% ?

I think you can also to get the status by AT command such as

AT!GSTATUS?
AT+CGACT?
AT!SCACT?
at+Cgpaddr=1

Thank you for your answer, i can see 2x logs in the below path:

C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Sierra Wireless\Logs

GobiApi-Skylight.txt
QmiPlugin.txt

Are you able to tell me what entries should i look for to see the details which i mentioned above? connection/disconnection time, signal strength ?

I don’t know
You can open them and see if there is related information

Using AT command to check might be easier

Thanks

Would the AT give me enough data? the issue is, im taking down devices as they are shown on LMI as offline ( each device have LMI installed to monitor is it online or offline), when i have device back with me ( which is usually take few days / sometimes weeks ) i want to check history of the connection at the time when LMI show it dropped offline, want to determine was there internet connection issue or its something else,

Will these at commands give logs long enough to see it?

No, AT command should only show current status
