RV50x No Network and Signal Light

Hi!
I currently have an Airlink RV50X installed on site. Recently, I have renewed the subscription of my sim card installed in the Airlink. After activation, the router has no LED for network and signal, only the power light (steady green) and activity (flashing green) is okay. May I know what is the cause of this and what troubleshoot methods can i perform? Thank you.

  1. What carrier’s SIM are you using? Is there anything special about that SIM? APN name, any authentication needed?

  2. Please check the band that this device supports on page 548 of https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_reference_docs/airlink-rv-series---configuration-guide/#sthash.hGHWkxks.ES1EPKIa.dpbs and does the SIM support that band?

  3. Please check the APN status of this device by ACEmanager: Status > Cellular > APN status. Check to see if the device’s APN matches the SIM’s APN.

  4. Please check the antenna.

If you do all of the above but the issue still occurs, please send me the full log and template files from the RV50X to analyze this issue.

  1. We are currently using an IoT sim card from Thingsmobile.
  2. May I know sir on how to check the band in the acemanager browser?
  3. The APN is configured at matches the sim cards APN.
  4. How to check if the antenna works? I’ve tried to dismantle the antenna and the signal and network led lights are blinking red. When I attached it, both signal and network lights turned off.

Please see below:

  1. Please check Radio Module that your RV50X using by ACEmanager: Status > About > Radio Module Type (please refer to page 48 on https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/hardware_reference_docs/airlink_rv_series_userguide/#sthash.8dh74wSq.dpbs) and please check if this SIM supports LTE/4G network. If not, please use another SIM that supports LTE/4G.
  2. You can check the band in the ACEmanager browser by WAN/Cellular > Cellular > General > Band Setting.
  3. Please send me the screenshot of APN: WAN/Cellular > Cellular > SIM Slot 1 Configuration/SIM Slot 2 Configuration and what is the sim card APN?
  4. Please refer to the section Step 2—Connect the Antennas on https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/hardware_reference_docs/airlink_rv_series_userguide/#sthash.W8WdssYT.dpbs (page 22, 23)

Please send me the full log to investigate this issue.

Good Day.

  1. Current radio module type is MC7455. Please see below screenshot

  2. Band is set to ALL BANDS. Please see below

  3. SIM Card APN is configured as JTFIXEDPUBLIC as advised by the sim carrier. The sim card also supports LTE network since the airlink in which the sim card is inserted is functioning properly before we renewed the subscription. Please see below screenshot.

  4. Cellular antenna seems okay. We havent changed it since we deployed the unit.

After checking your logs, I found your RV50X has been assigned an IP (Network connection successful. WAN IP [Mobile]: 31.129.x.x) but the SINR and RSRQ values ​​are poor (please refer to SINR and RSRQ on pages 41, 42 of https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_reference_docs/airlink-rv-series---configuration-guide/#sthash.9o1j7EzC.dpbs)

Please follow the instructions in section Poor Wireless Network Connection of https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_reference_docs/airlink-rv-series---configuration-guide/#sthash.9o1j7EzC.dpbs (page 544) to see if this issue is resolved.
