I have a new raspberry pi that I’m connecting to my MP70 via wifi. I’ve had several RPi connected to this MP70 but this one for some reason is never connecting, even tho the SSID and password are set correctly. In the pi it never gets an IP address and the ACE manager shows the MAC address of the PI as rejected with the reason AP-STA-POSSIBLE-PSK-MISMATCH
Is there a configuration step missing on either the MP70 or RPi to get them connected like the other RPi’s I have? Note the MAC address for this and all other RPis all have DHCP reserved IPs.
According to the description, you have several Raspberry Pi devices that can connect successfully to Wi-Fi, however, currently, there is an issue with one Raspberry Pi that cannot access Wi-Fi, is that correct?
Does that problematic Raspberry Pi have the same Wi-Fi hardware and configurations as the other previously working Raspberry Pi devices?
Is the issue happening only on one Raspberry Pi or multiple ones?
Can you use that problematic Raspberry Pi to connect to a different Wi-Fi?
The issue is happening with one raspberry pi, all others connect fine. The one raspberry pi that does not connect to the MP70 connects to my home wifi without issue.
The Pis are 3B+ and 4s, but two 4s are configured identically as far as I can tell, but still not connecting.
Are there various settings to investigate that the possible PSK mismatch would have me look into? On either the MP70 or linux client?
PSK stands for Pre-Shared Key and is related to the Password or Passphrase used for the Wi-Fi connection.
The message states that it’s possible the wrong password was entered.
Do you use saved passwords when connecting to Wi-Fi? If you don’t mind, please forget the password/connection and try entering it manually to see if that resolves the issue.
