RC7611 setup correctly, but error on dial

Before I installed my phone company APN, I dialed out and got a CONNECT using the semicolon after the number. But there were no signals on the PCM interface, so I checked the network setup. There was an APN “ims” and “sos” for example. When I installed my APN it disconnected and reconnected automatically and no errors. I tried rebooting also. It all seems correct but now it will not connect when I try to dial out.

Not sure if you need to register IMS network for VoLTE, you need to ask your operator.

How do I register IMS? GSTATUS shows I have no VoIP.

Is it working on WCDMA network?
What is the APN for VoLTE ? You need to ask your operator.

I put it back. Thankfully I remembered what was there.

Now it connects when I dial out. Still no signal on the PCM. I don’t know what the audio profiles have to do with it. The 0, 8, and 9 are configured. There are no others that list under !AVCFG. I will worry about the signal format later. I just want to see outputs on the clock and data lines.

you might try the same AT command as here:

The AT!AVPIFACEPREF was set to F already. I set it to D but still no output.

I did an AT!AVSETPROFILE=0 to set to the first valid profile I have.
!AVSETPROFILE: 0,0,0,0,3,0

Still no output But the AT guide says !AVSETPROFILE “Select/configure audio profile for CS call”
The RC7611 is VoLTE only. No “circuit switched” calling. So I am not sure about this command use.

can you set to use profile 5?

No change. After ATD connects DC voltages only on PCM out, sync, clock.

did you use PCM master mode?

In the recent firmware update, the selection of audio setting options is reduced. There is only master mode.

you might need to test in Release 7 which is future release.
Seems it is fixed there.

More precisely, what is fixed?

PCM audio signal…

Does anybody know when it will be out?

All the PCM data lines are high impedance inputs. I noticed when I dialed out and connected there was burst noise on them. Not digital. Then I tested by using a resistor to pull them up or down. They are all set up as inputs. I am surprised because this module has been out a year and the PCM audio in the datasheet has not been implemented yet. I have not seen any notification about this.
