some times I am facing problem while sending file of size 500kbytes to modem from server via FTP; initially it receives a potion of data very fast ; then it slowly collects the data and finally dies down; no more reception.
Please suggest possible problem and the solution

From the description, do you mean that there is data loss while sending data and FTP connection is shut down abruptly before complete file download of file from FTP server. If this is the case, what is the firmware version being used at your end. This could be a restriction/bug in the firmware.
