The MSISDN is the telephone number assigned to the SIM by the network.
This is not necessarily held on the SIM, so you can’t can’t necessarily read it from the SIM!

The AT Commands Manual mentions an “ON” phonebook - so, if your SIM has that, perhpas you could use it…?
