MC7455 No service

I have MC7455 module used on windows OS. it is sowing no service in the network connection. The SIM is in working condition.
I had the generic Firmware installed and the driver also installed in windows. it is identifying SIM network but it is showing as no service. Please see the attached screenshot.

the following are the behavior that was noticed on these modems:

  1. when the band is set to 9 using the AT!BAND=09, throws error. but it can be set to other bands except for the band 9 LTE all
    2.not sure this is related, all the modems that can’t be set to band 9 LTE ALL are with the no service on the cellular.
  2. These modems also didn’t had the restore points. Normally the restore point 01 is for sierra-provided SKU configuration. this is not available, if this means something.

what is the return of the followings for OK module and NOK modules?

how about setting to LTE technology by AT!SELRAT?
You can check the setting of AT!SELRAT=?

I tried to set the selrat to LTE but it is throwing error.
it looks like the module cannot be set to anything related to LTE technology. the following two commands returns error:

  1. AT!BAND=09
  2. AT!SELRAT=06

The command AT+CGDCONT? on the non-working module returns:

but on the working module it returns as below:

does this indicate anything?

it indicates different APN is used in the module
Are they using the same SIM card for your testing above?
Is no, have you tried to swap the SIM card between two modules?
Is the 3gnet SIM card only workable in 3G?

The same SIM card has been used for the test and the APNon the non-working modules is showing up as 3gnet. i also tried to set the APN to “yesinternet” using the command AT+CGDCONT=
But it is still showing as no service on the cellular connection. The 3gnet is being shown on every unit which have this issue. seems like it is showing as “3gnet” for every different SIM card used on those non-working modules.

have you checked if AT!UIMS? is equal to 0 in both OK module and NOK module?

The AT!UIMS? is returning 0 on both the working and Non-working module.
Anther thing noticed on the non-working module is that even if the new SIM from different provider is used, the command AT+CGDCONT? returns
+CGDCONT: 1,“IPV4V6”,“yesinternet”,“0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0”,0,0,0,0

Seems like the APN does not change according to the SIM used but on the working module it changes the APN according to the SIM card used.

didn’t the NOK module is using 3gnet as APN here?

BTW, have you compared AT!CUSTOM? setting

Yes it was before i set it to “yesinternet” and the SIM i am using just now is from different provider so i should have change when i use this SIM. But it remained at “yesinternet”.
