MC7354: Verizon and AT-commands?

Quick question –

I noticed with the GSM firmware installed on the MC7354 cellular card that the AT-command set is fully featured and (for the most part) works.
When the Verizon firmware is loaded on the cellular card, it seems as if the majority of AT-commands that were usable in the GSM mode, no longer work.

AT-commands such as:
AT+CSQ
AT+COPS
AT+CREG

Have you run into issues like this? Why is there a difference and is there any way to get this to work?

These commands should all work when the VzW firmware/config is loaded. Can you send the below to it to

at!gstatus?
at!pcinfo?
at!priid?
at!entercnd=“A710”
at!priid?
at+cpin?
at+cops?
at+cops=?
