MangOH Yellow i.e. WP7702 is denied connection with Rohde & Schwarz CNW500

We have built a solution using MangOH Yellow that needs to be certified and one of the tests require the unit to connect to a Rohde & Schwarz CNW500 with it’s own SIM card. When trying to establish this connection we get the following info when executing “cm radio”:

  • Power: ON
  • Current Network Operator: R&S 3G TestSIM
  • Current RAT: Module not registered on network, RAT not available
  • Status: Registration was denied, usually because of invalid access credentials (LE_MRC_REG_DENIED)
  • Signal: Very strong signal strength (5)
  • PS: Packet Switched Not registered (LE_MRC_REG_NONE)

So, is there a known problem with R&S test equipment when using WP77xx and if so is there any workaround or settings that might help?

According to your description, I see in the status section “Registration was denied, usually because of invalid access credentials (LE_MRC_REG_DENIED)”

Most of the cause of this issue is because the database in your SIM is not registered or has been registered incorrectly with Rohde & Schwarz CNW500

So please recheck and then try again to see if the issue is still happens in this case.

Thanks for your reply! Should that be the case, the issue lies with certification company (Intertek) and their equipment.

Is there any way to fix this in the MangOH Yellow code? Something similar to when we are clearing the FPLMN list?

To clear the FPLMN list, you can refer to the 3GPP TS 27.007 document for the CSIM or CRSM command.
