LX40 wiring

Looking at the wiring diagram it shows whit red to positive 24 and black to ground but shows the dc power supply as black to ground. I translate that as red and white to positive 24 and black to negative 24.
is that correct?

Hi @mike.hadsock,

Welcome to our community!

The LX40 supports an operating voltage of 7V – 36V, so you can use a 24V power supply.

When using a 24V DC power supply:

One end is Vcc, and you will connect the red and white wires to this Vcc.
The other end is Ground, and you will use the black wire to connect to this Ground.

Please refer to the ‘Power Connector on the LX40’ section on page 21 of the following document: https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/hardware_reference_docs/airlink_lx40_userguide/#sthash.Z2ypUcpE.dpbs

Thanks,

So its ground and not 0 volts of the power supply?

Hi @mike.hadsock,

Please refer to the “Basic Installation with DC Power” section on page 22 of the following document: https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/hardware_reference_docs/airlink_lx40_userguide/#sthash.cmZhLpIL.dpbs
→ “Pin 2 (Ground) — Use the black wire in the DC cable to connect Pin 2 to ground.”

Thanks,
