LX40 huge data transfer on startup

When I first plugged in my LX40, it transferred about 1/3 GB without me doing anything. It wasn’t great, given my data plan. Is it auto-updating or something? Can I turn whatever is happening off? I can’t afford that amount of data transfer.

  • What version of ALEOS and radio module firmware is your LX40 running?
  • Does the log file show any traffic? Is the LX40 currently transferring data?
  • Have you ever used the AirLink Management Service? Here is the information about the AirLink Management Service: AirLink Management Service - almsc - Sierra Wireless
  • Please provide both the full log file and template file from the LX40 to me.

***Here is how to retrieve the log file and template file:

  • The configuration template file is in ACEmanager → Template, provide any name you desire for the Template Name, and then press Download to retrieve the template file.

  • Collect logs procedure:

Go AceManager > Admin → View log → Download Logs
