KSRAT on modem RHL7692

Hi!

I have a problem with some sites that have good LTE and GSM connectivity. In these locations, some modems connect to the GSM network, even with a strong signal from the LTE network in the same region. So, to solve this problem I’m trying to change the radio access technology in a modem HL7692 with firmware RHL769x.2.26.180400.201802141030.x7120m_1 . The allowed modes are 1, 5, 8 and 9 and when I try to change to 8, for example, I’m getting a CME ERROR: 3.

Look at the snipned bellow:

Manufacturer of modem: Sierra Wireless
Type of modem: HL7692
Modem firmware version: RHL769x.2.26.180400.201802141030.x7120m_1
IMEI: 355465071111120
Serial number: VE851440900810

AT+KSRAT?
+KSRAT: 9

OK
AT+KSRAT=9
+CME ERROR: 3
AT+KSRAT=?
+KSRAT: (1,5,8,9)

OK
AT+KSRAT=8
+CME ERROR: 3
AT+KSRAT=5
+CME ERROR: 3

can someone help with this issue?

Hi @Donald,

many thanks for your message.

it is possible to update the modem using update over the air?

@rafael.dias

Hi, yes you can update the unit over the air using the FOTA server as it has the delta file to go from 2.26 to 2.27.
