Is LX40 antenna option are mandatory?

Hi,

I wanted to use LX40, but before buying it, i have a question.

The antenna are mark as optional, but is the LTE work if there is no antenna connect to the port.
I will use the ethernet so i don’t need one for the wifi.

According to the document, connecting an antenna to the SMA Diversity antenna connector for 4G networks is necessary.
