How to route calls BC127

Hi guys!

I’m having problems with phone calls. If I answer the phone call through the phone the call gets routed to the phone and not to the earphones connected to the BC. But if I press the button to answer that is connected to the GPIO in the BC, the call is routed to the earphone, is there anyway to force the routing to always go to the device connected to the BC even if the phone call is answered though the phone?

Kind regards,

Hi @ssmavilete,

You can answer the phone call through the earphones connected to the BC as follows:

When a call comes in, you touch the Audio section, there are 3 options as shown below:
Please touch the Audio Bluetooth icon (e.g. BC-0191D1 - name of BC127 device) as shown. I have successfully tried it with my phone.

Thanks,

Hey @jerdung
Thanks for the quick answer!

I can also do that, but my question was if there’s a way of this being automatically routed to the earphones without the user needing to do this manually.

Kind regards.

Hi @ssmavilete,

You only need to do that manual step once, the next times are automatically routed to the earphones.
Do you always have to do it manually to answer the phone call with earphones?

Thanks,

Hi @jerdung ,

I have to do it every time I answer through the phone.

Hi @ssmavilete,

Have you updated to the latest firmware?
If not, please download and update the latest firmware here: https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airprime/software/bc127-firmware/#sthash.Nb93NvmT.dpbs

In addition to, this problem may be caused by your phone. You should consult on the internet for solutions to that problem but from a phone perspective.

Thanks,

Hi @jerdung !
I have the latest firmware. Also this does not happen with other Bluetooth headphones, so I don’t think it’s a setting on the phone.
Since you’ve sent the configuration from the BC is there a specific configuration for routing the calls?

Kind regards,

Hi @ssmavilete,

Please try one of the following:

  1. Restore BC127 to factory default configuration with RESTORE command and make phone call again.

Example:

RESTORE

Sierra Wireless Copyright 2018
Melody Audio V7.3
Build: 1544637564
Ready
  1. Try all steps to answer the call (touch the Audio section → touch the Audio Bluetooth icon,…) with another BC127 and see if you have the same problem?

Thanks,

Hi @jerdung !

I’ve restore to factory default and the problem still persists.
I’ve tried with another BC and it has the same behavior, what can it be?

Kind regards,

Hi @ssmavilete,

Could you please try on another phone to see if the problem persists?

Thanks,

Hey @jerdung ,

I’ve tried with another phone and it’s the same behavior.

Kind regards.
