Attaching sim to a network LTE-M

Hi, my team and I we are trying to attach our sims to a network. We have the HL7800 and using a Truphone Simcard. RAT should be LTE-M cat-m1, the firmware we use is 4.3.8 because we want to use the band B14, and we know for that to work, the fw should be prior to 4.3.9. To be honest, we are new with AT commands, and after going thru the whole AT commands documentation. We have a few questions. Is the simcard like a plug-n-play?
