GPS data wireless to tablet

Hello, I need some pointers to wireless feed my MP70 GPS data stream to a Windows tablet.

We are a municipal fire and EMS dept, running MP70 routers, streaming the GPS data with Rs232 cable to tablets. The tablets are running Alpine’s Red Alert mobile CAD.

Hi pleischner,

Do you mean that your app (Alpine’s Red Alert mobile CAD) is currently collecting location data from MP70 through serial and you want it to be done wirelessly? If true, it should partly depend on your app.

The MP70 can only send location data to a device wirelessly if you can configure the device as a server with an IP address and port number.
